[UPDATED sept 2,2007] Tristemente, la guerra en mi pais no tiene fin a la vista, es muy facil apostarle al hecho que no vivire para ver a Colombia en paz. Juegos de Guerra Colombianos son una colección de juegos realizados en Flash. Muestran hechos violentos de la guerra interna Colombiana. Consecuentemente los juegos son macábros e impactantes. En vez de intentar ignorar las horribles secuelas de la violencia, o aún peor, ver con indiferencia, las víctimas como consecuencias aceptables, justificables y naturales; estos juegos solo quieren ilustrar una realidad enferma, dolorosa y sin esperanza. Quiero mostrar la sedicia y premeditación, la forma en que los seres humanos nos convertimos en mercancía, objetivos militares y fichas sin autonomía en el tablero político de otros, y preguntar al espectador: de verdad el fin justifica los medios? que es lo romántico en la guerra, las revoluciones y las contra-revoluciones en nuestro siglo? en que nos convertimos los Colombianos? The Colombian war games are a collection of Flash games. They depict some of the violent and true acts of the Colombian internal war. Therefore the games are macabre and shocking. Instead of trying to hide from sight the consecuenses of violence, or even worse, see upon the kidanapped and murdered as acceptable collateral damage, in the means to an end; these games just want to show the sick, painfull and hopeless reality. I want to show the premeditation and evil, the way in which humans are turned into merchandise, or tokens without free will in the political gaming board of others. I want to ask the spectator: what is romantic in war, revolutions and counter-revolutions in our century? what have we Colombians turned into?
